i took out the tube that goe's from my air cleaner to myt front end ..will i get some more HP now that i took off that shrouding and its just a str8 shot into the cleaner insted of going threw the tube?

Better horsepower...No

Worse horsepower...yes.

Theoritically, If the tube was in place and pushing cold air into the carb, HP increases.  Warm air from engine compartment equals < HP.

this is just my opinion, of course, i have no dyno tests to confirm this.

I don't think you will notice any difference either way.

Some would say inverting the top (lid) of the air cleaner and tightening it down upside down will increase power...again, i dont think it will be much...sounds awesome that way though.

Others may have opinions.

I agree, don't think you will notice a diference. I also agree that colder air is better. Cold air is denser therefore more air in the same amount of space.

What i like to do with the old trucks is take the lil part at the end of the hose and cut it off ...so it makes a ram air...all it does is pop out at the front clip .....put just dont go slaming the truck into water or mud
