Planning to replace my accelerator cable soon. Wondering if anyone has any special instructions or tricks? My first cable replacement, and appears to be fairly simple.
TIA

Received new cable. Does anyone know what the blue plastic piece is for? It slides on the cable housing. Looked at my current one and see nothing like that or a need for anything like that.

unclip it at the carburetor or throttle body, squeeze the tabs and pop it out of the bracket. Unhook it from the pedal linkage, press the tabs in on the firewall inside and push it through.

How long is that cable?
Mine is not longer than 19" and is getting really hard to find one.
Thanks!

If it will work for you let me know. I still have it and will not be using it.

Thank you but mine is way shorter than that one, where you have 14" I have 10"
What year is yours?
Mine is a 73 with a 350

This one is about 4 " longer than original one. Did not want to use it. Also, the square tabs that push into firewall were too large. Did not want to make it work. Have heard replacements of a few models are longer. I have 74 c10 350 4 bbl. Got a refund and told not to return.

I am using original one. Did not try to get another one. Old one still working for now. If I have to have one, do not know where I will find one.
