Title: Most Popular Paint Color- Any Data?

Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm about to get to work on a 1980 Step whose original color is that rusty bronze brown yucky mess.

Any ideas on how to find data on what is the most popular color in this year range?

If no data, then offer an opinion, or better yet, a picture!

I was bumbling around the internet today and saw this.  I really like the green and white scheme.  I was wondering if that was  factory color combo and came here to post asking whether anyone had all paint codes/options for the different years of these trucks.

No info on two-tone color combos or usage, but this is a good resource.

Hi Johhny:
Go to the GM Heritage Center website and check out the spec file for the 1980 trucks...you can see all the OEM colors and paint schemes. I am partial to the two tone paint schemes for the full size Chevy trucks.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the direction and advice, I will look into those resources.

I have the front clip off now, and see the original color- from what I can tell, it looks like it matches 'Medium
Camel Poly' really a great color. I will see if I can order a chip.
