Title: 1977 Chevy K10 dash
Post by: jcondo on October 22, 2018, 08:45:18 pm: will a 1985 GMC suburban dash pad fit correctly into a 1977 Chevy K10 pickup?
I found one of the same color as my 77 in the junkyard and its in very good shape, no cracks at all. I am keeping the 77 bezel just replacing my cracked and faded dash pad.

To check for what?

The 81 up dash pad will not fit correctly without retrofitting to the 81-up style bezel and gauges. Not only that but 73-78 is a league of its own whereas the 79 and forward have the vin window. If I were you I would look for a period correct dash pad. some if not most states have laws about covering the vin, like vile said the 73-78 will be illegal unless you cut a window to see the vin. once had a cop give me a hard time because my dash mat had slid over and obstructed some of my vin
