I have a turbo 350 (pre lock-up torque converter type) that I want to rebuilt as a learning thing, and I was wondering if there are any online resources that I can use to make this job easier? I'd rather not have a lot of help, but I'd like to think i'm doing it myself. I'd perfer not to buy a manual, so any free resources would be greatly appreciated
.. The transmission was fine untill one day it just started slipping and started making weird noises. The fluid also smelt burnt, so it was pulled out of my uncles 76.

There is a company in Salem N.H. called Trans Star. I am pretty sure they are nation wide. They sell every thing from kits to manuals.

Some of those places even sell videos of how to rebuild, besides manuals. There's a big place out in Las Vegas called Drivetrain Specialists of Las Vegas. Their web site is
