Title: Bellhousing bolts, timing chain cover bolts etc.....

i was wondering if theres anywhere that sells bolts for the above.. i looked in   and they have everything but...i took my motor out last week and while doing it i noticed there was 2 bellhousing bolts missing then when i took it out i noticed they were broke off inside.... luckily i work at a machine shop so it was no problem getting them out ....any info is appriciated

Hardware store would be the best place I can think of.

YOu can take Blazin's advice and go to a good hardware store.  Just make sure you match up the bolt strenght as well.

Jegs has the bellhousing bolts.  www.northernautoparts.com should have the rest.  They also sell stud kits if you would rather.

Hey folks I found this site the other day. It seems as if they have about any bolt and quanity of them you need.

Also a side note; Read their story about how they used to be a small Ma and Pa hardware store and a big box store ran them out of business so they started selling on the internet and are now even more sucessful than ever.

While on the subject of bolts:
Driving down the home stretch I heard a clinking, clanking sound.  Walked back up the street and found a Grade 8 washer head bolt.  The unthreaded portion of the shank is about 2 1/2" long.  The next 3/8" has a deep knurl.  There is one tread left at the end of the knurl.  Looked all around the '79 C-10 to see where if it could have fell off.  No luck so far.
Cannot determine the purpose of knurling at that position on the bolt.
Any ideas?

You are correct.
It was a bare to drill a hole in the sucker for the extractor.

For bolts and hardware try the HELP! section of auto parts stores.  Some stores have all the HELP! parts in on area.  Others have them distributed through out.
