I have a 79 C10 I am trying to bolt a transmission crossmember on. The front hole on the passengers side top frame flange is not lining up by about an 1/8 inch. Will looosening all the crossmember bolts and finger tightening till all bolts are mounted do the trick? Why else would the crossmember not line up in the mounting holes?

the frames flex so it could be how the frame is sitting, but yes loosen all the bolts and finger tight them.

Ok, hopefully it isn’t an issue with a tweaked frame. It doesn’t appear that way since it is only off by an 1/8 inch. I’m also having issues with lining the bed up as well, it seems to protrude to the right a little. When I tried shifting the bed straight it would not give. The bed is a little diamond tweaked by about 5/16. That might explain it.
I really appreciate your response. Thanks.
