What year hoods will work on my 1991 V3500?

Is a 1981 GMC Hood the same as my 1991 Hood?

Yes, 81-91 squarebody is all the same

What about the hood emblem?  If the hood doesn't have the cutout...could a guy carefully cut the openings and fit one?

I have to believe you can.  I've never tried it though.  My interests gravitate to the lesser trim level trucks without them.

Not sure if I want the emblem...just thinking about it.  My crappy aftermarket hood has the holes for the emblem, but no emblem.

I will look at the hood on my 81 and see if it compares underneath to the 91 hood I have in storage with the emblem
