Post by: arlbrl on August 14, 2006, 12:49:00 pm
Can any one give me help on how much of the wire harness I need to remove from the Suburban to install this 90 engine into a carburated 85 C-10.  Also are there any special tricks I need to kow about this Swap?  Thanks in advance for the help!!

It would be easier, not less expesive, but easier if you used a wire harness from painless. Not that it cannot be done with the factory harness, but you get a manual, exact instructions, tech support..... catch my drift here?

Also, you will have to run new fuel lines, fuel pump, exhaust work, electrical modifications.... and so on.

I am in the process of putting a 93 vette LT-1 into an 86 shorty. There is alot of little issues, but plenty of resources available online to get your swap done. Good luck!
