Title: Carb Question
Post by: kchill7195 on June 24, 2019, 12:43:16 pm
I have. 76 C20 454 30k original miles. I am looking to replace Quadrajet.  I think sitting and ethanol have destroyed it. Any thoughts on best/easiest replacement. Thanks

$40-50 for a rebuild kit!  There isn't much to a quadrajet.  $20 for the book on how to rebuild them.

Or...about $400 for a replacement.

I'm with Erik, they are easy once you know your way around them.

Little tip, when you are replacing the top, the secondary metering rods tend to hang up.

Push down on the top secondary plates, that will lift the rods, and the top will slide into place.

Don't over torque.
