Title: Back up lights now always on

My 87 r10 350 tbi 700 r4 2 wheel drive back up lights are on all time key is on. What I'd
Like to know is :  1-- is the bu light switch part of the neutral safety switch . Or 2 --- is
The bu switch mounted in the 700 r4 trans ? OR what?  is this a common problem , cause
I need to get it fixed.    Thanks.

Switch is down on top of the steering column down by the firewall.

Same switch but 2 plugs go to it I think.  The one plug at the 12:00 position is for the back up lights and can be unplugged until you can fix it properly.

The position of the switch is also affected by the height of the body relative to the transmission linkage.  My NSS switch never worked correctly in both Park and Neutral until I replaced the body mounts and got the cab back up to normal height.

Install d n w neutral safety switch.now everything works as normal. Thanks guys.
