Title: I'm the new guy
Post by: 440sixpack on July 06, 2019, 03:07:43 pm
Hi everyone.   new guy here from OR.  been messing with rigs for the last 40 years but I now have my first square body.

I took the time to find a totally rust free CA 2 owner K10 short wide Silverado.   it looks  nice but it's not a show pickup at this point.  it's my plan to make it one.

So I have a lot of questions , I'll try not to make them too boring.

Welcome from SoCal!

What year? Never heard of a 'short wide',, short step side?

Look forward to more...

no it's a short wide box , ( fleet side )  .   they made a lot of them, not sure if it was more than the step side or not though.

This pickup was sold down in your area new but came to the Sacramento are in the 80's.   even here on the high desert rust free square body's are a hard find.  I looked at a lot of them before this one popped up.  I literally cannot find rust anywhere and I've looked hard.   along drive down there but worth it.

Got it! Those looks good IMO. I think the shorty's really bring out the 'square' in the line.

Both of mine, the K-10 and C-10 have step sides, little round but I think they look good too.

Glad for your rust free baby, the '80 C-10 I found in the local mountains had been sitting for 10 years in a very dry back yard. No rust either.
