Title: Gas gauge for right tank
Post by: uprising on April 19, 2020, 10:05:14 am
Hi guys,
i have a new problem with my K10. The gauge for the right gas tank is stupid. The new is 1cm more then Full and the need is not moving to low (only if Ign is off)
The left one is working fine. Maybe the swimmer is blocked?! Is there s chance to check it without removing the whole tank? Can it be a mass problem?

Another question: of i drive 50km/h (speedometer) i really drive 70km/h! Is there something to change or adjust?

Stay healthy!

You need to match the correct ratio adapter for your final drive ratio and tire size in order to get the speedo accurate.

As far as the right tank goes, switch to the right tank and pop the sending unit wire off. Key on, it should swing the needle past full, then ground the wire and it should go to empty. If it does then the sending unit is the issue.

Thanks for the hints. I measured it and it is looking good! What i also find out is that after switching to the right tank i hear some noice out of the tank. Sounds like something is going threw the wall from tank...
