Title: Ignition Switch on a 1979 GMC Vandura 3500.

Need help please. The starter engages when the key is turned to the ON position and or the Accessory position. The ignition switch is dash mounted.

If you find you need an ignition switch, it is discontinued from GM. However there are at least 37 GM dealers in the U.S. that still show in inventory. Part# 12356033 Most G.M. dealers are willing to sell it to your local dealer. Also still available from aftermarket. Standard ignition# US84. Neither one will come with the key cylinder. Switch only.
