Title: Edelbrock Heads/Cam
Post by: Lobsterbak on October 25, 2006, 03:19:00 am
Hey all,

Im planning on purchasing this kit:

350-2098  Power Package Top End Kit
1955-86 SB-Chevy
410 HP
Hydraulic flat tappet cam

Currently I have a 1981 C10, with a new (less than 100 miles) GM Perf. 290 HP 350. I was wondering if this kit would work...I have never purchased Heads/Cam. Right now I am in Iraq, So I want to order soon so its waiting for me when I come home for leave (6wks, yar!)

Thanks all,

I personally would rather have the new afr eliminator heads and pick your own cam....the 68cc version heads should be better for you.  they are supposed to flow like crazy....i'm savin for a set to get next spring.

What is the compression ration on the current engine that is in your truck? I remember looking at the edelbrock setups a few years back and i think they required somewhere near a 10:1 compression ration to acheive the advertised numbers. I might be wrong on this, so hopefully someone else will chime in as well.
