Was thinking about doing a shield on my finished cab floor for heat and sound, also to help with my Vintage AC system I am installing. Would really like to get some suggestions on the better quality shield. Was thinking about the stick on foil type. I had a thick fiber mat under my carpet prior to my rebuild. Actually still have it stored away. The truck (K10) originally came with a black rubber mat and I had changed it to carpet some time ago. Was also thinking about going back to the Rubber flooring instead of the carpet. Any suggestions!
Was also thinking about installing an electric fuel pump to replace the mechanical. I am running OEM duel tanks and the pump would be on the engine side of the selector valve. Had thought about the Holly Red Pump PART# 12-801-1. Will have to cut a small length of my stainless steel fuel line to fit by the selector valve.

Hush mat or Dyna mat, (same?) is not the way to go, I used it to treat a VW DOKA I restored, and it fades in effectiveness by drying up over time. Huge difference when first installed, no so much later on.
Second Skin is superior and will be my go to from now on.

Both Hush mat and Dyna mat are butyl rubber based products, so they shouldn't dry-out and lose effectiveness like asphalt-based products, but Hush mat is much thinner than Dyna mat which makes is less effective on lower frequencies, plus Hush mat's adhesive bond is not as good as Dyna mat, so it can become loose or fall off, which makes it lose its effectiveness.

Thanks for the comments! Took a look at the second skin. A little high priced, but seems good. Will also check out Dyna mat and any other options tht someone else may have.

Come to think of it, it was Dyna mat.
Can't say why but it dried out and cracked over some years.
Maybe when it gets hot? :-\

I just did the complete inside cab (doors and all) on my 49 F1 this past winter, with a product I got off amazon called Kilmat. I was hesitant to go with the off brand but am happy with the results. I did 2x 50 mil layers of the butyl and then a top layer of 80 mil noico closed cell foam (also amazon) with the intent of insulating for my AC. I have dual flowmaster 40's on a sbc in the truck and I went from not being able to have a conversation in the cab to very tolerable. I'd used the dynamat before and found it a good product but this kilmat was about 1/3 the price for the complete project. The carpet sat very nice when finished.
