Title: 1982 Silverado - fuse keeps blowing AC/vent fan
Post by: esourcemt on September 09, 2020, 11:27:52 am
The fuse for the blower fan keeps blowing even when on vent only......I have replaced the fan selector switch, replaced the relay out by the evaporator and also tested the resistor & the fan motor itself.

Any suggestions on where/what to look for next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

Dsiconnect the fan and then switch the fan on to see if the fuse blows. If it does the fan is not blowing it and you will need to track down the short by following the wiring. If you have done any work that may have caused a short, look at that area.

Have you done other work recently? If yes, track down the area, and look for problems.

I have not done any work on it lately.... It was working fine....turned it the fan off....and it has not worked since. That is why I replaced the switch first.
