Title: Aerosal paint for my white 1987 R10
Post by: mmanship on September 25, 2020, 06:38:54 pm
Dupont indicates their code for the white was 817.  The mfg code seems to be 12/5111.   Does anyone know of a provider for aerosal paint for our older trucks?

Best bet is to check with the dealer....that’s assuming that it has never been repainted. Depending on the condition of your rig, you might want to try and find a local paint shop that will allow you to do your own prep work. Then have them spray it for you. Saves a lot of money, because The prep work takes more time than the actual painting.

I've used these guys on vehicles in the past and it was perfect match.  Depending on how much you need I believe Eastwood sells a DIY aerosol  where you mix the paint just like a HVLP but strain it into their spray can.

You will find your paint at automotivetouchup.com and the link is below. I have attached a picture with your paint code. I have had very good luck with them. You can get 12 oz cans or smaller cans and if desired bottles of paint with a brush.
