Title: Breaks
Post by: Zboutin20 on October 06, 2020, 04:10:29 pm
I am working on restoring a 1985 gmc c10 and recently baught all front everything. I went to put my new calipers on the rotors and with the caliper completely compressed the break pads do not fit on the rotor. Why is this and what should I do?

Sounds like you BOUGHT, the wrong BRAKES.  Look in the glove box and see if the RPO options are still in there on the sticker.

Regardless of spelling and SPID label, make sure the caliper bushings are free and pushed outward as well and not hitting the steering knuckle.

Hi,, you need to measure your old rotors and calipers the see where the mistake was made ,I think they have different size rotors on these trucks ,, good luck with your brake problem,,
