Hey Guys.
73' C20 here.
Wipers are non-responsive.
I've done a light test at the appropriate terminals on the bulk connector and the contacts of the wiper itself, and it seems to be getting power
with the ignition switch on.
Fuse is also good.
Few Questions:
-Where is it grounded? Is it the three wires shown in this picture attached?
-While cleaning the wires and terminals with a bit of carb cleaner, I noticed one of the three wires shown in picture attached has what seems to be a cotton/fabric sleeve instead of a plastic one.
You'll see in the picture that it's deteriorating. Is this bad news for me or can I replace these wires if I take the wiper motor apart?
-I'm assuming it's getting its power off the fuse panel. Which wire is supplying the power?
-Is there a way to bench test the motor itself or the switch itself?
-Considering it's nearing 50 years old to begin with, should I just toss this and replace it while doing this?
If so, any good vendors anyone recommends?
I never noticed until today, that it actually has a windshield cleaner pump, but the hoses and reservoir have been tossed.
It'd be pretty cool to get that back.

The grounds come through the switch.

I'm glad you said that, Blazer.
I was cleaning the switch after I removed it and noticed a little metal tab bent around the side.
You just confirmed my thought.

Thanks Vile!
So, with the wiper motor being defective, I'll need to place it.
Can anyone recommend a vendor or brand? I'll begin shopping around online now.
Also, the power supply to the wiper motor is Terminal 2 of the wiper motor, correct?
This wire then leads through to my bulkhead connector and then received by a wire that is soldered to the back of my fuse panel- confusing me of the power source.
