Title: Fuel Lines On Fuel Pump
Post by: Jon87V20 on February 06, 2021, 11:04:39 am
When I was removing the fuel tank, I'm concerned I may have damaged the fuel lines coming off of the fuel pump (please see photos). Do I need to replace these now? If so, where can I find them? Couldn't locate them online so far.

Those appear to be after market braided fuel lines.

How deformed is the center line, and what is it used for; Send, receive, or vent?

Johnny, I'm not really sure yet. I got the tank out that far, saw the lines looking like that and decided to call it a day. I should be back out there tomorrow hopefully. I'll disconnect the lines from the tank and take more pictures to show you guys. I hit them with PB Blaster yesterday so hopefully they'll play nice and come off somewhat easily. If push comes to shove and I have to get replacements, do you have any advice on where I can buy them? I didn't even see them on   Truck. In their online catalog at least. I'll take a look at my paper copy today and see if they have them in there.

Those look like OE braided lines and fittings. On some of the single tanke TBI models I do believe the braided lines went all the way to the tank. On dual tanke models the braided lines started at the passenger frame rail near the rear hanger for the front leaf spring. Contact Chris, he owns the site and more importantly the store that is associated with the forum and dedicated to our trucks.
If you are not stuck on OEM then use hardline to -an fittings and run whatever style line you want. Plus you can set up for any future upgrades if you want a better style of EFI.

FYI, if you notice that certain parts of you post are missing...that's because you are advertising for competitive stores. Check with Chris first he is extremely helpful.

Oh and it'll be 3/8 supply and 5/16 return if you choose the upgrade route.
