My '83 K30 has an electric-over-hydraulic dump bed and is set up to plow snow. Thinking about adding a second battery. Question is how much alternator would be necessary to keep both batteries charged?

Can you tell us why you believe a second battery is necessary? Has the dump bed and plow been working OK until now, or did you just upgrade to one or the other? Increasing alternator can often be a good solution for meeting increased electrical needs, but additional batteries often are just a temporary band-aid.

CS130 and dual batteries is a great option.

Thanks, Guys. Appreciate it.
