Title: Grille swap help needed

So the current grille on my ‘77 k10 is the billet/bar type grill (first picture) and is attached with the bracket seen in picture #2. I’d like to install the grill in the third picture.. here’s the problem, after removing the old grill, there is nothing to attach 4 of the 6 bolt holes to with the new grill. Only places for screws/bolts are circled in green on the center support/hood latch mechanism, where it lines up, the other four spots have nothing behind them (picture 4). Final two pictures are what i have behind the grille

This is a ‘77 K10, and supposedly this is a grill for a 77, and all diagrams I’ve seen have the same attachment points, but i can’t seem to find any grill supports or brackets. What’s the deal here?

Why don't you show us a pic of the radiator support with the grille removed so we can see what you have going on in there.

Looks like you are missing the grille brackets that bolt to the radiator support. Can't tell from your small pix if the inserts are there for the other holes.

There are two holes on the center support/hood latch mechanism that line up, inserts are there. Then the core support where the billet grille brackets were bolted on, 3/4 inserts are there. I assume that’s what you’re talking about?

Thanks for the help! It was driving me crazy not being able to find those brackets!
