Title: Tailgate latch problem

88Suburban.
I finished switching from power to manual rear window.
Now, I can’t get the latches to release. For a while I could tug on the rods going to the latches, but now that doesn’t seem to work.
Anyone have a clear diagram of the orientation of the latch handle and rods?
