Title: Remove catch from glove box lid
Post by: Chevygold on October 07, 2021, 02:46:43 pm
I'll be painting my truck and am getting the interior ready, how do I remove the lock from the glove box lid so I can paint it?
Thanks
Graham

Open the glove box and trip the latch closed. Use a pick tool to depress the locking tab in the cylinder housing while pulling the knob outward. Repeat on the second detent and then remove the nut.

Sorry I just realised I didn't reply, thanks for the info,  although I have to admit I resorted to you tube to see exactly where to poke my prodder!
All sorted now although still not painted, other projects taken priority!
Thanks
Graham

Is there a grease you would recommend to lube one. Maybe just white lithium grease?
