Title: Frame rail wavy
Post by: JaredD on November 14, 2021, 02:40:07 pm
The left side of my truck frame is wavy on the bottom side but appears to be solid without any cracks - would you guys try to flatten it out or leave it?  I was considering using a large vice and some heat to straighten it out, but I'm considering leaving it as I'm thinking cosmetic rather than structural.  Thoughts?

I don't think it will compromise the structural strength in any meaningful way. I would let it go, when you have it all back together no one will know.

If you are talking about the lower part of the frame, it was made like that to make room for the humongous catalytic converter.
