Do you mean you can't get it into any gears without it grinding? Does the truck want to move lets say if you started the truck up in 1st gear while depressing the clutch pedal?

Check your linkage adjustment

It sounds like a bad throwout bearing, but to be sure  you might want to have a mech look at it. Pretty big job to replace a clutch. 5-6 hrs labor anyway. The engine and tranny have to come apart.

You have checked the linkage on the clutch right?  If it is adjusted correctly, then it is probably the pressure plate.

If you are mechanically inclined you can do the replacement yourself, but you will need to resurface the flywheel if you are replacing the clutch assembly.  the 3 speed isn't heavy at all.

thanks. the clutch adjuster bolt i tried loosining and tightining a little and still grinds. if it was the tranny wouldnt it at least work in reverse? i was pulling away from a stop sighn when this happened in low gear.i did notice to that when i put it in reverse not running it tries to roll backwards in the drive way and the driveway aint very steep. before this reverse would hold it.
