I'm thinking about stretching one of my 1 ton C&C frames to mount a dry van box and I'm looking for the OEM frame stretching and modifying manuals and/or procedures that would have been available to upfitters when these trucks were new.

The truck in question is a 1989 GMC R3500 C&C although I do plan to swap the cab, motor, ect to my 1986 K30 C&C chassis to save the 4x4 conversion.

I think the best you'll find is the wheel base specs unless someone has documented it somewhere. https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/docs/gm-heritage-archive/vehicle-information-kits/Chevrolet-Trucks/1986-Chevrolet-Truck.pdf

Still haven't found what I'm after but I found out the title of the GM book it should be in: Chassis Layout and Body Builder's Instruction Drawings, 1988 Light and Medium Duty models

 Anyone still have one?

Did you try contacting them for archived materials? https://www.gmupfitter.com/body-builder-manuals/

Quick google search showed a bunch of those manuals floating around.

According to a post from someone else looking for one of these books he contacted them and they don't have stuff that old.

I haven't had ton of success with google on this, lots of chassis layout books for other models but I've only found a 1991 and 1990 Chassis layout book that might cover what I'm after. I will be making a phone call on Monday to ask about the 1990 chassis book and if it covers R/V series trucks and wheelbase modification as I am unable to send a message about it

Here's a post where someone scanned some of the pages it looks like https://www.s10forum.com/threads/iso-1st-gen-s10-frame-body-mount-measurements.846057/

I saw on EBay: Chassis Layout and Body Builder's Instruction Drawings, Light and Medium Duty models. Do a search!
