Title: Dash dented?

Just wondering if my dash is dented?  I changed out the heater controls today and they didn't quite fit.  Is this a dent?

I'm sure one of the other guys could tell you for sure. Just wondering though since it's hard to tell from the picture, is the paint cracked around that spot at all? That can be a tell for a dent. Just throwing that out there.
