Title: Complete floor replacement
Post by: 74_squared on August 01, 2022, 09:01:01 am
Has anyone ventured the route of doing a complete floor replacement?

The replacement floor in the above link has all the under floor supports and everything but are the edges of that the inner rocker panels? Do they still need to be added? Also have been wondering where the rocker backing plate goes or if that part is just just an even more cut down version of an inner rocker?

IMO there are still many good cabs out there, I'd rather go that route vs spending endless man hours fitting that and hoping it measures up. Sorry I can't speak from experience though.

I already had the cab stripped down for sandblasting and beyond that I've got about 10 hours into working on the floor so far. There was so much extra material/sheet metal in the cab corners and rocker area that I just want to make sure what I am seeing on the edge of this new floor is indeed considered inner rockers. The rockers were replaced at least once and most of the inner rockers were gone with several patch panels and whatnot to make it work over the years. Also trying to figure out exactly where the "rocker backing plate" goes.
