Bought one and ready to install, wrong one, though two sources I checked show this cable as correct.
1980 C10 5.7 CID TH350 (to the best of my knowledge)
My existing cable has a z-bend at the end, this one has a hole on the end.

Your cable has a z bend? CA1951 @ O'Reilly is the correct cable.

That's not your cable bud. The cable connects to the linkage.

That is correct. That sticks out of the case and goes thru the hole in the cable.

So it's a short piece of wire that has a hook for the islet on the end of the cable?
I guess that would make sense, beats having to drop the pan to change out.
