Best Glass Windshield Replacement For 1978 K5 Blazer
The windshield in my new-to-me 1978 K5 Blazer has a cracked windshield so as soon as possible, we want to remove the cracked windshield and have a new replacement installed.
I spoke with my glass installer and he said all the replacement windshields for SUVs like this are being manufactured overseas, actually he said in China. He also said the quality is hit and miss.

National Parts Depot (https://www.npdlink.com/search/products?search_terms=windshield&top_parent=100000&year=1978)
Anyone have any good experience with any of the above?

Do yourself a favor and use a glass installer, have them provide it so you get the warranty. Sucks to buy a windshield and then have a crack or leak...

Copy that, I have a glass installer. He does a lot of all the muscle cars and classics around here. In fact, he just installed the back window of a 1970 Plymouth Superbird after I machine sanded and polished it.
No back window

Paul, the guy that installed the back window into the above Superbird told me the glass company he works with only deals with modern cars and I should go ahead and source my own windshield then he'll remove my old windshield and install the replacement.
My other buddy Paul, that restored the Superbird, recommended Paul the glass installer - good enough for Paul and about a 2 million dollar Superbird - good enough for me and my old Chevy.

That looks mint. Summit sells them

That looks mint.
A thousand times better than when I started. Here's a before picture - see all the random scratches in the glass? Started machine sanding with #180 grit.

WOW thx for sharing!
I replaced my windshield when I first bought my K10, only to have it crack again less than a year into it.
BUT in the very same place!
Glass guy was a pro, warranty good.
Culprit was a rust bump in the lower left corner near the drain hole. Knocked it down, still good.

Pinkerton is typically who most people use. I dont ship nor sell glass even though I can, to many hand changes and opportunities for breakage.
Most local Glass places will sell you glass without installing it.
