So the intermittent wipers in my 1991 suburban have stopped working. I still have a couple of speed ranges, but the only way I can get the wipers to shut off is to run them to full on position and then to the off position. Really just an inconvenience, but I do tend to mostly use the slower speeds. I like the first click, where the wipers wipe a few times and then pause.
What do I need to replace to get it back??
Thanks
Jeremy

there is a module that went bad. Directly under the cover plate you will see it.

Or, since your Burb is a 91, it's an R/V, the same as my 87 V20, and it was the delay box under the dash, by the column, that croaked.

To clarify, the delay module described by both zieg85 and Shifty is located behind the rectangular dash plate, directly beneath the steering column. The module slides onto a flat bracket protruding from the steering column mount. The module resides inline between the dash harness and the wiper switch. To temporarily eliminate the module from the circuit for diagnosis, unplug the module and connect the two flat harness connectors directly together. If the symptoms disappear, the module is the culprit. If not, check the switch functions using a wiring diagram, test light, and ohmmeter. The modules are obsolete and difficult to procure. However, with some patience, they are generally repairable.
