Title: Can anyone offer help for a Beginner?
Post by: Wriggs86 on October 13, 2005, 02:13:00 pm
I just bought an 86 Silverado C-10 pickup.  I have minimal experience with engines and restorations but I figure I have to start somewhere.

I'm looking for a website showing basic engine repair with dsiplays etc.

If anyone can help me finds some sites to get me started with engines and body restorations that don't require an experts knowledge I would be very grateful.

Thanks.

Wriggs

This site is a great place to start.  Chris does an excellent job organizing/keeping up this site.  You can look at past posts, pretty much everything has been covered or can be covered by the experienced people reading these posts.   Try Jeff's site at www.73-87.com

You can always do a Yahoo or Google search.  Last week i found out how to repair my Kenmore Washing Machine by searching on the internet.

Your vehicle is an easy one to work on.  Just post your questions.

Good Luck

You can try Chilton DIY.com. It costs I think $25.00 for 1 year for one vehicle. Some useful info there.

Ditto on the Chilton's manual. Just go to AutoZone or O'Reilly and pick one up. It gives you the basic jist on how to do about everything.
