Title: i have a headache now
Post by: maverick on December 19, 2005, 08:19:00 pm
I have my 79 in the foresale section of the paper this weekend.  Well I had one guy call on saturday.  When he called he sounded like he was eating chips or something with his mouth open.  Well all I could take was about 2 mins of that and told him to call me back after he was done eating what ever it was he was eating. :)   Well he called tonight "done eating" and went on and on and on asking tons of questions about the truck.  I dont mind the questions but the way this guy was carring on I couldnt stand it.  I told him the best thing to do was to come look at it drive it and go from there.  I said I could sit on the phone all night and tell you ever little dent, detail and such about the truck but It would be best if you just came by and looked at it and drove it heck I said it might not even be what your looking for.  Well hes coming over tomorrow after work and im not looking forward to meeting him.  Any ideas on what I could do to speed up his time here?  I would like to sell it because I bought a 78 sb 4x4 and really dont need this one.  but how much can I guy endure on selling a truck?  :)

When he gets there, just tell him you have to be somewhere by a certain time, like 30 minutes after he arrives.  Thirty minutes is plenty of time to look at a vehicle, and decide if you want to buy it or not.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.  :)

BTW - I am ging to move this to the general discussion forum, it really belongs over there

tell him you decided to keep it,  this sounds like a guy who when he buys it and the first time something breaks he will call you and complain that you sold him a a defective 20 year old truck.  or make him sign a paper stating he bought as is where is.  good luck steve
