All of them are good, and don't forget Milemarker.  Most people would tell you Warn, since they are the most heard of and started locking hubs, but they all work.

Warn is the only one that would get my money.

I would vote Warn the best, Superwinch the worst...

Stock spicers are the best there is period. Then warn premiums.

In my years of heavy rat bagging in my truck, I've ran spicers and a few different sets of warns, and only ever broke one warn.

I have broken 2 Warn hubs, both times Warn replaced them free of charge even after I explained it was my fault both times.

I have had about every brand out there. Have broken a few Warns, and Spicers. I have a pair of Selectro hubs on my 86. Have failed to break them yet. When I take them apart everything comes apart nicely, they alway look good inside. The inner ring is held by a snap ring too, not one phillips screw. They are 3/4 turn hubs though.

My vote is for Warn.  I did not have ANY luck with MileMarker, had 2 different sets break.  Broke the original set from PO and replace with another set.  Broke those and went to Warn.  No more problems.  My 2 cents worth.

just something else to think about, your hubs are supposed to break first before your break your axle shaft or anything else like i said before i have done broke 2 axle shafts and the same warn hub has to be taken off to replace them, imo i might be stepping it down lol

I have the O.E. Spicer lockouts on my Dana60.

I would try to find a set to fit your '87. GM offered them up to 1980 when they themselves started using Warn, and the auto lockers.

Spicer lockouts for a D60 are dern neared impossible to find, but because they use all steel gears, they are dern neared impossible to break.

The 1/2~3/4 ton Spicer lockouts are pretty common though. Should be able to score a set off of ebay or a local salvage yard that has some of the older iron.
