amazing how something so small costs so much to fix, or accessorize

Unfortunately my "shop" consists of a gravel driveway and a shed to for my tools.
It's really tough to time my "work on the truck moods" to coincide with the weather. Not to mention that the shed where my tools are located is about 100' away from the truck. This can be really aggravating especially when I have to go back for that 9/16 that I didn't bring with me... oh and the 7/16... and let's not forget the ratchet.. and the.. well you get the idea. Heck, at least I'm getting some form of excercise huh??
Long story short... My dream home is a 32' X 64' shop with a paint booth and an apartment on top I could live in.

Me and my brother just take up the space in our dads shop. I live in a apartment so I have to travel if I want to work on something in a space. My dad has a 52x35 shop. It was just where me and my brothers trucks were painted.

I use to have my truck in a shop, but I live in an apartment now. I rent a garage at the apartment complex, so, that's were I work on the beast for now.

Cooltoolguy,
That is a correct statement. The good thing is, I sold it last summer and got my $10,000 down payment back that I put on it in 1997 Plus some more. Chris Lucas

I work on mine in the garage, driveway, gravel, friend's shop, wherever I have to. Right now it is in my garage waiting for me to get home and put in the engine.

roundedline, how true that the wranglers hold their value, I bought (for the wife) an 1988 (clean) laredo for 2Gs a year ago with 200,000 miles, can sell it for more as people have offered to buy it, but not for sale. tough little bugger tho, the Mrs. and her friend went to go learn to ski this past friday, but were at the wrong ski lodge, she leaves the dirt parking lot, hits a huge pot hole and pushed the front axle through the oil pan into the crank which cut a real nice square hole in the oil pan
she hears it knocking, but continued to drive 2miles to the other ski area, where the rest of the oil promptly exited the engine, I towed it home, replaced the pan and as good as new.

I work on mine in my heated and air conditioned 3 car garage. Wifes car gets to stay in the driveway.

Ive got a 30'x50' metal shop 20 feet from my house. It's not only a great place for my current frame off rebuild, but also an effective bunker for when I piss off the wife!!
-
Thats a super clean garage, Are you sure you work on your truck in there?
Wait tell you see mine its all full of my junk my son's truck junk. Hey I got heat and ac to, a must in AZ I don't use the heat that much. But run the heck out of the ac in the summer time so I can play in the garage.
