Title: is this a good deal

I located a 81 or 82 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 on propane.  Its in pretty good shape but one of the rods went so the motor is pretty well wrecked.  If I could get it for 800 would it be worth it.  I need a 4wd so I can get around in the canadian snow storms.  I figure I could get it running for under 2000.  I don't want to drive my 78 chev because I just got it painted and got 17" boyds on it and I don't need to be gettin stuck with it.  Also I would like to lift the 4x4 and put 35's on it.

Yeah, sounds like an average deal.  Are you gonna keep the propane conversion?

Yeah the propane is staying.  Here in Canada its about 35 cents a liter cheaper.
