Title: np 203 conversion?

hi, am looking to buy a 77' chevy 4x4. It has the axle lockouts on front axle. Is there a way to tell if the transfer case has been changed to part time too? thanks

Unlock the hubs(free), then put the transfer case into hi or lo... not hi-loc or lo-loc.  See if it will move around and drive.  If so, it has been converted, if not, then it has not.  If it has not, lock in the hubs and drive it in Hi, rather than unlocked and in Hi-loc.  You will like it better.
