Title: restoring our 77 silverado 4x4
Post by: micrys5150 on December 30, 2004, 10:59:00 pm
Hi, all! My fiancee' and I just purchased a 77 chevy 4x4 and would like to find out as much as we can about restoring it. Where do we start, where to look for info, parts, etc. The truck is really clean, minimal body rust, never been wrecked, 280,000 miles on a tired s/b 400 and th350. We plan on putting a crate motor in it, rebuilding the tranny, rebuilding front end, would like to upgrade to rear disc brakes, power windows and door locks, no lifts or anything totally custom. Any info or tips you all have would be appreciated.

Where to shop depends a lot on what exactly you are looking for, but the first place to check is this web site, Lots of good stuff at great prices. If you can't find it here, another good place to check is   @  competitor.com.
