What year is your silverado and what kind of tranny does it have? What tire size are you planning on running?

It is an 82 silverado with a turbo 400, I dont know what is in it now, It has 33's on it. I plan on running 38.5 super swampers.

I would run at least 4.56's and 4.10's are perferct for 33's.  I have a 700r4 tranny with 4.56 gears and 35inch tires works great. I run about 2100 rpm's at 60mph and 2500 at 70mph.  But thats in overdrive.  But being your going to run 38's you might want to go with 5.38's or something else.  Is your truck only a 4x4 or will go get groceries every once in a while,  Just something to think about if your going to put on some hiway miles.:hat
