Years ago when i started my resto project i bought a Dick Cepek Polyu bushing kit for my 78'.Now lately ive been reading how people do not like these cuz they make to much noise. Is this true if so is there an alternative other then OEM Bushings?

Hey Blazin, a couple questions for ya. I bought Energy Suspension bushings for my front springs and sway bar on my V10. I was considering buying a whole bushing kit but decided against it because I didn't know if the poly cab mounts affected anything inside the cab as far as vibrations or noise is concerned. Also how much of a difference will I notice with the new bushings in the front end?

I have a '76 K10 and in it I run energy suspension poly cab bushings, transmission bushings, engine mounts, leaf spring bushings, and sway bar bushings.  I had the truck prior to all of the installing and would say that the bushings made the truck more solid/stiff.  There is absolutely no squeaking associated with the bushings on my truck.  All in all they are great!

the only truck I had with all energy suspension bushings was an 87 4x4 step side and I loved it. added 15 MPh to any corner and fellt better than before with rubber bushings and slower MPH. No squeaks in that truck, and no sueaks or vibrations in my other rigs either. my curent 86 3/4 ton 4x4 and my 79 K30 both have cab poly mounts. They will stay rubber suspaension bushing as they are plow trucks and the extra flex is good when plowing.
