In general....

1/2 and 3/4T trucks used 10bolts or Dana44's in the front.
1/2T used 12 bolts rears from 73-81 and 10 bolts from 80-91. (yes there is overlap
3/4T used 14bolts in the rear

There are two diferent 14 bolts.
A full floater which the vehicles weight rest on the housing via a spindle, inner and outer wheel bearings. They have a bolt in axle that you can see in the wheel center. All the axle is for is to drive the wheel.
A semi floater which the vehicles weight ridse on the drive axle. The axles are held in place with C clips the same as 10 and 12 bolts.
The Dana 44s hav e rounded cover top & bottom but have strait sides.
The 10 bolts are rounded all the way around the cover, they also interchange parts front to rear.
The outer stub axles are also the same froma  ten bolt or a Dana 44.
44 Inner axles are a shade bigger in diamiter than a ten bolts.
