I just picked up a 74 k20 w 454/th400 with a np203. As far as I can tell from researching this, the th400 wasn't available on a 74 K20. It looks like the guy upgraded. The shifter for the tc is moved back quite a bit (longer tranny). It has the warn locking hubs, there is a sticker on the visor that reads, "4x4 DNE part time conversion, Four wheel drive is available only in HI-Loc or Low-Loc position. I'm not sure what came with the truck originally? 203 or 205? What would it take to put a 205 in?

I have a completely remanufactured th400/NP203 setup here. If you have one as well, be very happy. They are strong and rare.

It has the 203 in it. The shifter has the 203 "HI-Loc, H, N, Low, Lo-Loc" on the floor. No RPO sticker in the glovebox unfortunately. Maybe I can get the RPO info from the , Chevy dealer w the VIN# ? The only info on the visor is the "4x4 DNE part time conversion, Four wheel drive is available only in HI-Loc or Low-Loc position".
