I just did the opposite.. I put a `85 bumper, the panel below the grille and turn signals behind the grille on my `82 that originally had them in the bumper..

Sounds great, so I guess it's easy enough to find a driving/fog light to fit in the turn signal opening? Any chance on getting a measurement? Thanks

Anyone have the measurements for the holes? I've found an 81 bumper I was thinking of putting on my 85. The bumper on the truck right now is chrome but it is bent a little bit. I can get the straight 81 bumper for free but it needs painted. What do you think about about it painted black to match the truck? I'm gonna have a polished billet grille in it. I need some opinons, how would that look? Would you do this or try to find a good chrome one? My rear  chrome stepbumper is ok.

You don't need to mesure anything just bolt it on. My opinion would be to get rid of the rear chrome bumper too. I don't like chrome. I like the bumpers on trucks to be the same color or a theme color as the body. Like my 86 the body is yellow, the bumpers, door handles, locks, grill, etc. are all black.

Thanks for the opinion. The holes I were referring to are the openings for the stock parking lights. I was wondering what size they were approx. Are they similar in size to the turn signals in the front fenders?

The turn signal holes on an '81-82 are nothing like the turns on a 83-87.

I sell front bumpers new....

Sorry I missunderstood your question, I thought you need to know how far apart the mount holes were to drill new ones.
Are you planning to put some driving lights in the holes? Thats what i am doing on my 86.

Its ok I didn't really explain which holes. Yes, I am planning on putting some kind of driving or fog lights in the bumper but I am having a hard time finding some to fit the holes nicely. I measured the holes and they are about 3 x 8 inch. I'd like to find some lights that would look good without a lot of modifications if possible. If I have to I guess I can take some metal and make a panel to weld in or something to house some smaller lights.

I have an 82 Bumber that has the turn signal holes in it also...  I am trying to find the square turn signals from the junkyard to put in the grill, and then put some fog lights in the bumper holes.  Let me know if anyone finds any fog lights that fight and are easy to install.  I dont feel like doing any major mods....
