I am about to place my spare under the truck. It came optioned with the bed side mounted spare. However, I don't know what it should look like under the bed. Does anyone have a picture they can share of their underbed mounted spare? I'm trying to figure out what I need to order.
Thanks,

Sure. When I get home this evening, I will take some pics. My truck has a tow hitch mounted, so it will be a little different, the long threaded rod was removed and welded back into place on the side of the new frame-mounted hitch.

OK, here ya go. The hitch mount kinda hides things a little. You can see where the threaded rod was removed and then welded to the hitch...as stock, it kinda just hangs down from a hole...if i remember correctly, you have to put a screwdriver or something inside the hole where the rod hangs, to keep it from turning when loosening the bottom part that, when turned a certain way, slips through the hole on the long bracket holding up your tire.

Looks like I might be able to fit mine in after all.Didn't think it would fit with a hitch.
Thanks,Del

I've been holding off on storing my spare since I was told that the "swing out" option is way more practical especially when you really need to change a flat.
Comments?

This did the trick! I have the upper cross piece but need the bolt and arm.
I really appreciate the effort!
Thanks!

Anytime. I wish the first pic was a little better, mostly all you see is the hitch bracket....on the right side of the pic you do see the threaded rod that was welded to the side of the hitch bracket...it's a little rusty, I need to paint it.
Yeah, pugsy, the tire mount can still be mounted w/ a hitch...I had a great company intall my hitch..they didn't even asked me and just did it for free when they put my hitch on. That was a big concern of mine, too, b4 the hitch was installed.
