Title: drivers side lock stuck

the lock on my drivers side of my 87 custom deluxe frequently gets stuck locked and i have to get in the passenger side. any body no how to easily replace the lock or fix this problem? and i have already tride lube

You have to take the door panel off, obviously.  You can then see the lock rod going from the lock stem inside, down to the key lock.  This may have bent or need adjustment.  If you have to replace the actual key lock, it is simply held in place by a C clip.  Take some pliers and remove the C. Slide it out.  The key part will then fall from the outside of the door.

My 79 does that,,,, i have to jiggle the key if i try to unlock w/ the key.  I know it needs to be adjusted. If i have to replace the actual lock cylinder, i would need a new key, which sucks.

You don't need a new key.If you buy from GM they can match your new lock to your key.(well this was a few years back.Not so sure about now.)

Mine occasionally does that too.  I free it by pushing in the outside door latch button. I have no idea why this works...  The inside latch will not fix it, only the outside.

Great fun when the pass. door will not open for friends and family!!!
