Title: front turn signals not bright enough for you?
Post by: shaved80 on July 24, 2006, 12:24:00 am
i was bored today, so of course i figured i'd do something to my truck. i happened to find some 9006 bulbs that my brother had left from his old caddy. so i went to vatozone and found 2 sockets for them. i wired them up to my front turn signals. since they're not dual filament, they can't be run as run/turns...but it might be possible with relays and diodes like LED tails are, i'm gonna check into it. but who needs running lights when they are HEADLIGHT bulbs...just use your headlights! anyways, enough talking, and on with the pictures! i have video of them also, i'm gonna work on getting that up tomorrow...enjoy!

hopefully the plastic lens cover won't melt (or is it glass).  I know the headlights are glass for a reason.

they're plastic, and that's one of the reasons i'm probably not gonna have them as running lights. i can't see them getting hot enough as turns to melt the plastic

I would definitely keep an eye out on them if they are that bright though.
