HOW CAN YOU REMOVE THE IGNITON SWITCH IN A 1979 CHEVY WITH OUT THE KEY

Pull the stearing wheel and lift out the hazard switch. There is a small bolt on the right side under the switch, it retains the cylinder. Remove it and the cylinder slides right out with or without the key.

IT WORKED FINE NOW I HAVE A KEY TO START THE TRUCK. NOW THAT IT IS AT MY HOUSE I CAN START WORKING ON IT. THANKS KEVIN

thats what I need, my truck back at my house so I can continue to work on it. This is my mess I have to sort threw, the truck is about 45mins from home...it's such a pain to drive out there, even worse when I forget to bring a tool, or have the wrong part.
