Title: Seat Cover
Post by: thirstycanadian on September 26, 2006, 12:01:00 pm
My front bench (1985) is getting pretty rough and I am looking at finding a seat cover for it.  Does anyone recommend anything in particular?  I am looking at the Fia TR64 - Elan for Trucks.  It is a universal fit design.  Has anyone had any luck with this one?

Thanks

I wouldn't even get covers.  Spend about $200 at an upholstery shop and fix it right, you will be glad you did, and get another 20+  yrs out of it.

Heck, get some hog ring pliers and buy the upholstery set and do it yourself in just a few hours. I restored an old mustang and did the uphostery my self-all of it in just a weekend when I was 17.

Another viable option (for $150-ish) is JC Whitney's covers.  I wouldnt call them covers at all, but rather a reupholstery kit.  1.5 hours and my seat was new/fresh again!  Perfect colour match too!
If I'd had known more about this site then, I would've supported our vendor!
